Bryan Ferry (singer and songwriter) and Graham Simpson formed the British rock band Roxy Music in 1970 (bassist). Other longtime members were guitarist Phil Manzanera, saxophonist Andy Mackay and bassist Paul Thompson (drums and percussion). Other members were Brian Eno (synthesizer and "treatments"), Eddie Jobson (vocoder and violin) and John Gustafson (synthesizer and violin) (bass). Despite a break from the band’s activities in 1976 and 1983, the band reunited in 2001 for a concert tour and rarely performed together in the following years. Ferry often employed band members as studio musicians for his solo recordings.
